Denise Scudds was only fourteen years old when she first laid eyes on her "Sioux warrior" and she had no idea where her love for him would take her. Bob Sellick was a remarkable man, who had turned his back on university and society and intended to live in freedom in the Australian bush for the rest of his life.

Clearly he was a man marching to the sound of his own drum, and out of step with modern times. Denise wanted nothing more than to saddle up and ride with this man she came to love, into whatever their future held. But she couldn't foresee that with the adventure, love and poetry would come heartache and pain.

This is the story of their life together; an inspirational, at times demanding partnership that was tragically cut short.
