He’s a machine with a mission…and an attitude. MAX is a survivor. He’s also a computer, one of the last vestiges of human intelligence in a world bereft of humans. He and his few remaining cyber-colleagues work with and sometimes against each other, according to their individual programming. But MAX is different: His long-dead human mentor has programmed him to manage a project focused on “restarting” humanity with the use of artificial intelligence. When Nature innocently intervenes, the future of the project seems doomed…unless MAX can access the talents of his fellow computers and change his own way of thinking.
